High Five for Friday: Back to Work

You know, it's a good thing, to be back at work.
My job is a gift to me.  It's a lot of work, but it's always worth it.

So here are five GREAT things about being back in the swing of shtuff.

Linking up as usual with Lauren at From My Grey Desk!

ONE
I feel like my notebook obsession becomes more justified, somehow.
As if I journal more when I'm crazy busy.....

It's not logical, really.  It just feels like, ok, it's back to school.  I need more notebooks. No questions.

Found this one at the dollar store, of all places.  How cute!

TWO
I actually get to put money into my bank account.  That's fun.

THREE
I learn even more-so to appreciate little *pause* moments at home with hubby.

Because of our crazy schedules, even just eating breakfast with him is a luxury!

FOUR
I get to drive myself to work now, baby! in our wagon of glory.

Yea, I know I posted this picture last week.  But I'm just so happy about it!

I also kind of can't believe I am *already* driving a big family car.  Now to fill it with babies :)
(er, one baby at a time, preferably, please and thank-you!)

FIVE
Being self-employed means I have total control over my own holidays.  So in 6 weeks time, I'm having a little breather for a week to recharge the creative batteries.  I'm learning not to feel apologetic for needing some time off here and there.  Sometimes it's hard to stop and rest for a bit, when our culture is so fast-paced and performance driven.  But rest is just so important.

P.S.  I finally managed to figure out the whole Google Friend Connect thing

(see sidebar widget!)

I would really love it if you would be my newest GFC friend :)

I hope you are having a great week - nearly the weekend, hang in there!

  3. Thanks for your comments about your job and how it is a gift. This week at work left me absolutely exhausted and I found myself complaining like crazy to my husband last week. It's good to be reminded that work is a blessing and to be grateful for it. Thanks for the reminder :) I just found your blog and have loved getting to know you better. I'm excited to follow along!

    1. I'm so glad it was an encouragement!! I often feel like work just spills into every waking minute... and sometimes every minute I should NOT be awake! Bah. But yes, it's a blessing.

Am following you right back, lady! :)

I try to reply to every comment via email within a week or two.

I do lead a busy life and sometimes find it hard to stay on top of blogging stuff. Please bear with me and know that whether you hear back or not, I have read your comment and truly appreciate you taking the time to leave it :) You guys are the best!

Remember to make sure you are NOT a “no-reply comment” blogger - that makes you much harder to hunt down! You can easily change that in your Blogger settings :)

Thank you so much for dropping by. I hope you have a lovely day!
