:: this or that > oscar edition ::



I was out last night and didn't get to watch the Oscars.  However, as soon as I got home I was scouring the web for pictures of all the gowns (really the main reason I would ever watch the Oscars in the first place!).  Every year I am always on the lookout for that dress - the one that makes everyone go "ooooh".

Did anyone have the "ooooh" factor this year?  Undoubtedly.  But as I'm sure we all have differing opinions as to who had it and who didn't, let's open it up for a little discussion :)  

As usual, there seemed to be some particular trends on the red carpet.  I've narrowed it down to five categories and picked two notable mentions from each.

BLACK AND BEADED
Kelly Osbourne, Adele

SHADES OF WHITE
Jennifer Lawrence, Charlize Theron

STRAPLESS COLOUR POP
Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Aniston

BIG LONG TRAIN
Sally Field, Jennifer Garner

TEXTURE & SPARKLE
Alicia Vikander, Naomi Watts

My sister and I always used to (read: still do) play this game when we are looking through fashion magazines, where we have to choose which outfit or dress we would wear on any given page.

  2. I adore what Charlize was wearing, but only a statuesque model can pull that off. I'd wear the soft blue one, on Alicia Vikander. Gorgeous and perfect for my red head and body type.
